Estimated First-Year Total Compensation $55,000 – $70,000+ / yr
  • W2 Base Salary: $30,000/year
  • New Business Commission: $25,000–$40,000+ (uncapped)
  • Weekly Performance Bonus: Up to $250/week based on activity metrics
  • Quarterly Retention Bonus: Starting in Year 2, earn quarterly bonuses based on retained written premium from the prior 12 months — rewarding you for writing good business that sticks

The Opportunity

As a Property & Casualty Insurance Agent at The Agent’s Office®, you help families across Texas protect their homes, their vehicles, and their financial security. You are not a call center rep processing transactions — you are an advisor who identifies coverage gaps, recommends the right solutions, and builds relationships that last.

We are an independent agency with access to 75+ personal and commercial carriers. That means you shop the full market for every client — finding the right coverage at the right price instead of force-fitting one company’s product. You quote auto, homeowners, renters, umbrella, and personal lines across carriers, giving your clients options that captive agents simply cannot offer.

Your base salary provides stability while you build momentum. Your commissions reward production. And your weekly performance bonuses — up to $250 per week — pay you for the daily habits that compound into a career: prospecting calls, quotes generated, referrals earned, and policies sold. Starting in your second year, you also earn quarterly retention bonuses based on the business you’ve written and retained — so every well-placed policy continues to increase your income long after the initial sale.

Your Mission

  • Quote & Bind: Produce personal lines policies across auto, homeowners, renters, and umbrella coverage. Master carrier appetite, underwriting guidelines, and comparative rating to consistently win on value.
  • Prospect & Grow: Generate new business through outbound calls, referral partnerships, community networking, and inbound lead follow-up. This is a producer role — we reward agents who create their own opportunities.
  • Consult & Protect: Conduct coverage reviews, identify gaps, and present personalized recommendations. Clients trust agents who educate them, not agents who rush them through a quote.
  • Round & Retain: Cross-sell across lines — bundle auto with home, add umbrella, introduce life insurance. Multi-policy households stay longer, refer more, and increase your quarterly retention bonus.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Licensed: Active Texas Property & Casualty insurance license is required.
  • Texas Resident: You must reside in Texas. We are a community-rooted agency serving Texas families statewide.
  • Self-Motivated: Previous sales experience preferred. You enjoy the discipline of outbound prospecting and the satisfaction of helping people.
  • Detail-Oriented: You understand that a missed coverage gap today becomes a denied claim tomorrow. Accuracy matters.
