First, the truth

You weren’t dropped. The market shifted.

Texas carriers — including State Farm, Allstate, Farmers, USAA, Liberty Mutual, and Travelers, alongside standard-market commercial carriers — have been tightening their books since 2023. Wildfires, hailstorms, rising auto and commercial loss costs, and reinsurance pressure forced them to shed risk by zip code, by roof age, by driving record, by claim history, by class code, by proximity to brush. Often by criteria that have nothing to do with you as a customer.

If you got a letter, it’s not because you did something wrong. You didn’t miss a payment. You weren’t a difficult client. The market changed underneath you, and your carrier responded by tightening the underwriting box you used to fit inside.

When a captive lets you go, the independent market often welcomes you in with a better policy at a comparable or lower price.

That’s not optimism. It’s how independent agencies like ours have been clearing the Texas non-renewal queue for two years. Captives sell their one product to everyone; independents shop your specific situation across dozens of carriers built for exactly your risk profile — whether that’s a home in a high-hail zip code, an auto policy with a recent claim, or a commercial book whose class code was just re-rated. The math usually works in your favor — and almost always works in your timeline.

The TAO Speed Standard

Four promises. No fine print.

This is what we commit to from the first phone call. Every household, every zip code, every carrier situation.

01

Same-day quotes before 5 PM

Call before 5 PM Central on any business day. Your full quote arrives the same day — usually within hours, not days.

02

A real Texas agent answers

No chatbot. No hold queue. No call center. The person who picks up is licensed in Texas, knows your zip code, and can quote you in real time.

03

Coverage bound before your deadline

Tell us your non-renewal effective date when you call. We work backwards from it. Every time.

04

75+ carriers shopped, not one

Your old captive sold you their single product. We compare admitted, surplus lines, and parametric markets — including specialty carriers most agencies don’t even access.

The Recovery Timeline

From letter in hand to coverage in place.

Most non-renewal recoveries take less than a week of your attention. Here’s exactly what happens.

The first phone call
10–20 minutes

We learn your situation

Your policy, your non-renewal effective date, the reason your carrier cited, and the lender, lienholder, or certificate holder relying on you to maintain coverage. Whether it’s home, auto, or commercial, you get a real conversation with a licensed Texas agent who has handled this many times. No commitment. No paperwork yet.

The same business day
Before 5 PM CT

You receive a written quote

Depending on your risk and line, you may receive multiple quote options across admitted, non-standard, surplus lines, and parametric markets. Every quote is from a financially rated, Texas-licensed carrier — never an unknown name.

Within 3–5 business days

You choose. We bind.

You review the proposal, ask the questions you need to ask, and choose your coverage. We handle the binding paperwork, deliver declarations pages or certificates of insurance to any mortgage company, auto lienholder, or commercial certificate holder, and coordinate the cancellation timing with your old carrier so there is no coverage gap.

Before your non-renewal date

Coverage is bound. The hard part is over.

Your lender, lienholder, or certificate holder has the new policy on file. Your old policy expires on its scheduled date. You’ve replaced a captive policy that no longer fit you with one built for your actual risk profile — and you have a real agency on call for the next renewal, claim, or question.

Why The Agent’s Office®

Built in Frisco. Designed for moments like this.

The Agent’s Office® is an independent insurance agency founded in 2023 by George and Mayra Azide. We represent more than 75 admitted and specialty carriers, hold a perfect 5.0 Google rating across 100+ verified client reviews, and are licensed by the Texas Department of Insurance under license 3137979.

We were designed for the situations most agencies don’t take time for. The McKinney family with a 14-year-old roof and a recent hail claim. The Houston driver whose auto policy didn’t renew after two at-fault accidents. The wildfire-adjacent home west of Austin. The small commercial contractor in Tyler whose general liability got non-renewed when the carrier exited the Texas class. The retired couple in Midland whose USAA letter arrived three weeks ago with the deadline closing in.

If any of those situations is yours — or anyone you love — call us today. A licensed Texas agent picks up the phone.

Solutions Most Captives Never Mentioned

Three Texas-specific moves that change your math.

Non-renewed clients often qualify for coverage strategies their captive agent never had access to. These are three of the most common — one each for home, auto, and commercial.

Parametric Wind & Hail Deductible Buyback For Home

New Texas home policies in hail-belt zip codes often come with $5,000–$10,000 wind and hail deductibles. A parametric layer reimburses that deductible after a covered event — turning a five-figure surprise into a covered loss.

Specialty Auto Markets for Surcharged Drivers For Auto

If your auto carrier non-renewed after at-fault accidents, multiple claims, a DUI, or a lapsed policy, captives are usually unwilling to re-quote you. Non-standard and specialty Texas auto markets price your situation rather than refuse it — and we have access to all of them.

E&S Markets for Class-Code Refugees For Commercial

When a standard-market commercial carrier exits a class code or pulls out of Texas entirely, your renewal disappears overnight. Excess & Surplus markets and specialty commercial carriers — Berkley, Markel, Hiscox, Hanover, and dozens more — are built for the policies the standard market won’t take.

Common Questions

Ten things every non-renewed household asks.

Short, direct answers from a Texas-licensed agent.

Will my mortgage company, lienholder, or certificate holder accept the new carrier?
Yes. Mortgage companies, auto lienholders, and commercial certificate holders all require continuous coverage at a specified minimum — not a specific carrier. We handle declarations page and certificate-of-insurance delivery to any third party that needs proof, as part of the binding process.
Will my new premium be higher?
Sometimes. Often, no. Non-renewed clients frequently see comparable or lower premiums once matched with the right specialty carrier — across home, auto, and commercial — because the new carrier is built for your actual risk profile, not the average customer of a national captive.
Can you really get me covered before my deadline?
Yes, in nearly all cases. We start working backward from your non-renewal effective date the moment you call. The earlier you reach us the more options you have — but we routinely bind coverage for clients with as little as 7–14 days remaining.
What if I’ve had multiple claims, accidents, or surcharges?
Multiple claims, at-fault accidents, surcharges, or a difficult loss history tighten your options but rarely eliminate them. We have access to specialty and surplus lines carriers — across home, auto, and commercial — that price loss history into the rate rather than refuse the risk.
Do you work with clients outside the DFW area?
Yes. We are licensed statewide in Texas and routinely place coverage for homeowners, drivers, and businesses in Houston, Austin, San Antonio, the Hill Country, West Texas, the Gulf Coast, and rural counties.
Is there a fee for this service?
No. There is no consultation fee, application fee, or “switching fee.” We are paid by the insurance carrier when you bind a policy with them, exactly like every other licensed agent in Texas.
What if I’m already past my non-renewal date?
Call us today. Lapses create real exposure — mortgage companies may force-place a policy that costs two to three times more than standard coverage, auto lienholders may require immediate reinstatement, and a commercial certificate-of-insurance lapse can trigger a stop-work order on a job. We have moved fast for many clients already in lapse and can usually restore coverage within 48–72 hours.
Will I end up with a no-name carrier?
Not unless the situation requires it. We lead with admitted Texas carriers you’ll recognize, and only move to surplus lines or specialty carriers when the standard market won’t take the risk. Every carrier we use is financially rated and Texas-licensed.
Can you handle all my lines under one agency?
Yes. Many clients consolidate home, auto, business, life, and umbrella coverage with us after their first non-renewal recovery — because they finally have an agent who shops across 75+ carriers instead of selling from a single shelf. You’re not required to move everything. Most clients start with the non-renewed policy and decide later.
What do I need to have ready before I call?
Just your non-renewal letter. We’ll request other details — current declarations page, lienholder or certificate-holder info, claims or driving history — as we work through the quote. None of it needs to be ready before you pick up the phone.

One phone call. Same-day quote. Coverage before your deadline.

You did the right thing by looking for help. The hard part of your day ends when you pick up the phone.
